摘要

The mourning process of older people with dementia: Since people with advanced dementia are now increasingly becoming recipients of palliative care, it is appropriate that their grief experiences are researched and understood. Because of their cognitive impairment, it is difficult to assess the extent to which people with dementia are affected by-loss, especially when using standard interview techniques. Moreover, the literature on the mourning process of people with dementia is limited and as a result there is little data on how their grief can be supported. This study therefore represents a breakthrough in highlighting this relatively unexplored area.
