Data Link Layer Design Based on SPI Bus for Dual-Processors Communication and Its Realization of Dual-Processor Communication

摘要

This article describes a method for dual-processors SPI communication (named as "Twoway-SPI") by modify the physical layer and building a new data link layer design. We analyze the advantages of this design, and this method is applied to a automotive body bus controller with display unit. This paper describes the principles and shortcomings of SPI communication, and then make a brief introduction about the physical layer modify and data link layer design, and analysis the effect of these designs. Finally, this design is used for a practical application which needs a stable and high-speed communication between S12 processor with ARM-LINUX-based module.
