Rising Imports Slow U.S. growth in Q4

Consumer spending soared in the U.S during the October to December 2017 quarter, but the increased demand for imports dampened economic growth, which grew at a 2.6% annual rate, compared to 3.2% growth seen in the previous quarter. Growth was further dampened by the modest rate of inventory accumulation.
