This edition of Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease presents recent updates in our understanding of inherited diseases that involve the kidney. The articles are presented in a clinically relevant fashion and are intended to provide clinicians with useful insights into the genetic mechanisms of kidney disease and how these factors have altered our understanding of pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment.
