Dear Colleagues: Our journal, Industrial Biotechnology (IB), is the flagship publication for the BIO IMPACT Ag & Environment Conference, previously known as the BIO World Congress on Industrial Biotechnology. For the first time, BIO Impact will be meeting virtually for the annual conference, and the contents of this journal will be shared digitally with participants. We are pleased that IB's content parallels BIO's view on the evolution of the biotech industry to represent the enormous influence biotech innovations are having across agriculture and the environment. But rest assured: despite the renaming, biobased manufacturing, bio-advantaged materials, and green energy breakthroughs remain featured topics in both BIO Impact and in IB, alongside global food and feed resilience, environmental stewardship, advanced tools for biological systems and industrialization, critical education, policy, our international community, and exciting innovation companies.
