Spherical graphite price ranges widened upward amid improving market conditions in South Korea and the domestic markets. The flake graphite markets all remained stable in a slow spot market. There were some higher offer prices to test buyers’ responses, but soft demand continued to weigh on the markets. Market participants expected that the price of graphite flake 94% C, -100 mesh, cif Europe (-194) would be supported, with the approach of the winter shutdown season in Heilongjiang province tightening supply.
