Wear Behaviour of Aluminium Bronze Cast by Vertical Centrifugal Process+

摘要

The present study investigates wear behaviour of aluminium bronze C95400 (Cu-Al_(11)-Fe_4) alloy cast by vertical centrifugal casting process. Alloy was melted by standard melting procedure including additions of flux, degasser and deoxidant. Castings were cast at different pouring temperatures and with varying mould rotation speeds. Wear tests were conducted by using pin-on-disc type test apparatus. Wear test parameters were performed with varying load condition with constant sliding velocity, sliding distance and sliding time. Results show that there is increase in wear, wear rate and coefficient of friction with increasing amount of applied load with reference to pouring temperatures and mould rotation speeds.
