Using standardised mass produced products in the automation industry helps companies to manufacture high quality products, but when it comes to the implementation of automation products into a machine, individual adjustment and modification is sometimes needed. In many cases product settings, programming, hardware modifications and installation need to be done. This raises the following question: Can customized automation products improve the production processes and bring cost reductions and better quality to the final product?
