Without its eye-catching splashes of color, the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo would be just another squat example of last-century concrete cubism beside the busy A8 autostrada. But both the large looping logo atop the museum's roof and a curvily modern extension on one side to accommodate an escalator are painted in bright Alfa red, marking the place's new role as home to a collection of treasures from Alfa Romeo's long history of artful accomplishment.
