摘要

Nitrogen (N) is the nutrient absorbed in the highest amount by common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). Plants with deficiency of this element are atrophied and leaves exhibit pale green to yellow coloration symptoms, which begins in older leaves and arerelated to the role of N in the chlorophyll molecule's structure. The aim of the present work was to estimate the chlorophyll content in common bean plants submitted to three doses of four types of nitrogen fertilizers.
