IEA cuts demand forecast, warns on higher oil prices

The IEA today cut its global demand growth forecasts for this year and next, but simultaneously declared that "expensive energy is back" and threatens global economic growth. "Today, in the fourth quarter, we have reached new twin peaks for demand and supply by straining parts of the system to the limit," the Paris-based energy watchdog said today in its latest Oil Market Report (OMR).
