Electronics Silver/diamond composite developed for cooling microelectronic devices

A thermally conductive silver/ diamond composite that could be used to cool the small, powerful microelectronics used in defence applications has been fabricated by researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, USA. The researchers are focused on producing a silver/diamond thermal shim of unprecedented thinness-250 um or less.
