Thermally stable tooling with ceramic block

A ceramic tooling block, which offers a combination of high-temperature resistance and low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE), has been launched by Advanced Composites Group.Called CB1100, the material is compatible with ACG's LTM epoxy and HTM Bismaleimide (BMI) prepregs and can produce thermally stable composite tooling, capable of withstanding the high pressures and elevated temperatures associated with autoclave cure cycles.
