ANTIFINGERPRINT NANOCOMPOSITE COATINGS FOR HOUSEHOLD APPLICATIONS

Fingerprints on glossy surfaces such as glass windows are difficult to wipe off. Such surfaces are also subjected to scratches and stains. Wiping the stains using cloth leaves marks reducing the transparency of such surfaces. This in turn reduces visibility in automobiles and aircraft. Hence, it is necessary to develop coatings that can resist scratches and stains. In line with this requirement, a Turkish company along with a Czech technology provider has produced nanocomposite coatings that are resistant to fingerprints.
