The technology of "Handheld Tele-ECG Instrument for Rural Health Care" developed by the Electronics Division, BARC was transferred to M/s Chess Medicare Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, on 30th November, 2009. The technology consists of a low cost, hand-held and compact Tele-ECG Instrument. It is operated and controlled with a mobile phone or laptop/ desktop via bluetooth and thus has mobile as well as LAN connectivity. In the hospital environment it can be used with LAN connection and in rural area with mobile phone for sending ECG of the patient to the expert.
