VAALCO Energy is drilling ahead on an appraisal wellbore off Gabon while planning a proactive campaign to replace historically troublesome electric submersible pumps (ESPs). The US independent has just completed a successful work-over on a well from the Etame platform on its Etame acreage and has now mobilised the rig to the Southeast Etame North Tchibala platform.
