FPSO demand to continue to rise with capacity limited

Energy Maritime Associates (EMA) sees FPSO demand continuing to rise in the short to medium term although a number of units will remain idle and spare capacity is becoming limited. In its 2020-2024 floating production systems (FPS) outlook report analysis shows 19 contracts for floating production units were awarded in 2019. There were 11 FPSO orders in 2018 and seven in 2017.
