Turnover Intention by Type of Job Attitude of Care Worker: Focusing on Job Image, Burnout, Professionality, and Job Satisfaction

摘要

The purpose of this study was to identify types of job attitude toward care workers on the basis of job image, burnout, professionalism, and job satisfaction of care workers. To do this, we surveyed 285 care workers working in long-term care facilities for the elderly from August 2014to October 2014. Three types were revealed. The first type of care worker in the “low pride livelihood” group. The second type is the “passionate dedication” type. The last type is the “highly passionate burnout” group. Crossover analysis revealed that therewere significant differences in socio-demographic characteristics and job characteristics such as marital status, health status, career choice motive, type of facility, and working time according to types of job attitude toward care workers. And, there was significant difference in care worker’smotivation to choose the job, facility type, and work hours.
