With its range of sealants and adhesives,Otto covers a multitude of requirements for use in industrial production.These include a neutral-curing,1-component,alkoxy-based silicone adhesive and sealant that was specifically developed for bonding and sealing luminaire,transmission,machine and motor housings.Otto offers sealants and adhesives for industry under the brand Novasil.Over the years,a range of adhesives and sealants for use in certain areas of application has been created,covering many requirements;according to Otto,these products form the Novasil core range.Included in this is Novasil S 800,a neutral-curing,1-com-ponent,alkoxy-based adhesive and sealant that was developed especially for bonding and sealing luminaire,transmission,machine and motor housings.According to the manufacturer,its special feature is excellent adhesion without pre-treatment on all common materials such as glass,aluminium,zinc-plated iron,anodised aluminium and many plas-tics(PC,PMMA,PA6,PPO).Another of its characteristic features,according to Otto,is very high tensile shear strengths and ultimate elongations at temperatures up to +150°C.Otto emphasises that,in combination with its excellent weatherabili-ty,ageing resistance and UV resistance,Novasil S 800 thus covers a wide range of requirements in various industries.
