Welded pipe prices to drop in CIS in December

Conditions in the global market for flat products have continueddetermining movements in strip domestic prices for pipe plants of theCIS. Sour sentiment in export markets may push production cost ofwelded pipes in Russia and Ukraine down in December. Domestic pricesfor HRC set to Russian pipe manufacturers will start rising in February,whereas Ukrainian consumers will see strip prices going up a monthearlier. The increase in operating costs will lead to different results,prompting pipe producers in Russia to lift prices and being an obstacleto further price decline in Ukraine.
