This is the second article in a new series we are calling Technology in Action. Many readers may recall that the first dozen or so articles we wrote last year were focused on laying out the case for why technology and data science were essential to bees and beekeepers. We then discussed the path to making that happen with articles on topics such as the Healthy Colony Checklist and BeeXML and finally analyzed some of the obstacles and risks, such as privacy, security, and technology acceptance, sharing some ideas for addressing those areas.In this mini-series, we plan to spotlight some of the people, products, innovations, and organizations that are putting science and technology into action to help save the bees and make the lives of beekeepers easier.
