Welcome to the June edition of Building Engineer. I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to congratulate our new President, Ant Burd on his new role and to offer thanks to our outgoing President, David Taylor for his two years of dedicated service to the Association in the same post. During the Presidential Inauguration which took place at the House of Lords on 10 May, I was fortunate enough to spend time with a number of our former Presidents which offered a chance for reflection on just how pivotalthis role can be and the strength and depth we have amongst our Presidential alumni.
