Australian BHP Billiton copper output higher in Q1

HOUSTON (ICIS)--BHP Billiton produced 457,000 tonnes of copper in the quarter ending 31 March, up year on year, the Australian mining major said in production results late on Thursday. For the nine months so far in the financial year, production is at 1.29m tonnes, representing a 37% increase year on year.
