Mosaic to decide on fate of idled US phosphate plant later this year

HOUSTON (ICIS)--Mosaic will reassesse and determine a course of action on its Plant City phosphate rock plant in Florida, which was idled last October, over the next six to eight months, the US-based fertilizer producer said on Tuesday. The producer will decide if it has been beneficial for the plant to be offline and therefore should stay shuttered, or if the market has swayed again to warrant the restart of the operation.
