US Q4 GDP growth revised down to 2.2%; full-year 2018 GDP grew 2.9%

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 2.2% in the fourth quarter of 2018 – slower than the 2.6% growth rate the Bureau of Economic Analysis had forecast previously. In its final estimate of Q4 GDP growth on Friday, the bureau said that the 0.4- percentage-point downward revision from the earlier estimate reflected downward revisions to personal consumption expenditures (PCE), state and local government spending and nonresidential fixed investment.
