China’s Tongkun Holdings plans PX, PTA plants in Qinzhou

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Zhejiang-based Tongkun Holdings is planning to invest CNY51bn ($7bn) to construct a paraxylene (PX) - purified terephthalic acid (PTA) project in Guangxi province, a company source said on Thursday. The proposed project in Qinzhou will have a 2.8m tonne/year PX capacity and a 5m tonne/year PTA capacity, the source said.
