HOUSTON (ICIS)--The daily rate of US butadiene (BD) production from steam crackers rose from July to August, according to data from Advisian. Total BD production was also higher, according to the firm's Hodson report. The daily rate and monthly volume of BD rose despite planned and unplanned downtime at 17 crackers during the month, the report said, which yielded a lower overall operating rate from the previous month.
