A tool and die shop with six employees in North Royalton, Ohio, is staying competitive by being flexible, quality-conscious and reliable. CAM Tool & Engineering Inc. was founded in 2000 by Craig Mog and his father. It began with a couple of Bridgeports, a Makino EDM and an OKK machining center. From the start, CAM Tool has focused on being flexible-not limiting itself to producing a single type of mold. "People think you have to specialize in one area, but we find that staying diversified is key to a successful business," said Craig Mog. "We've done everything from injection molds and hard milling for stamping to die-cast and foam molds. We've made tools out of aluminum, P-20 and exotics."
