If we are competing against shops that have 5-week lead times, we can win a bid because we can finish it in 4 weeks or less." Like most moldmakers, electrical discharge machining is one of Dynamic's strong suits. But EDMing is relatively slow. Dynamic's management considered eliminating some EDM operations by acquiring a machining center capable of high-performance hard milling.
