摘要

Ultrasonic and dielectric studies have been made on mixtures of benzene and different commercial solvent extractants, viz. LIX 84, LIX 622, LIX 984, LIX 860, at 303.15K over the entire mole fraction of the mixture components, to evaluate various acoustic parameters. Viscometric studies have also been carried out to supplement these parameters. Excess isentropic compressibility #beta#_s~E, excess viscosity #eta#~E excess inter-molecular free length L_f~E, excess acoustic impedance Z~E and excess dielectric constant #epsilon#~E have been calculated from the experimental data and are further fitted using a Redlich-Kister-type relation to estimate the interaction parameters and standary errors. The nature of variation of these excess parameters helps in assessing the type of interaction in these systems.
