Inventor and global leader of automatic splicing solutions Butler Automatic announced its SP3HSL automatic film splicer, which is a web-splicing system for printed-sleeve films. It will increase line efficiency in sleeved-packaging operations by eliminating downtime when changing film rolls. Changes must occur once every 18 minutes, and changing the roll by hand wastes one to three minutes of production time. The SP3HSL increases line efficiency by 9% or more.
