Vietnam’s steel production up by 10% in January-February

Vietnamese steel companies increased their production and sales volumes in January-February, owing to strong demand in both the country and the ASEAN region.During the first two months of this year, Vietnam’s finished steel production roseby around 10% to 3.81 million t, according to the data from Vietnam Steel Association(VSA). The February output totaled more than 1.67 million t, adding 32%,compared to February 2018. “The results were attributed to the production growthof the biggest steel producers in Vietnam such as Formosa Ha Tinh Steel and HoaPhat Group,” a VSA representative told Metal Expert.
