China's refinery runs and product exports hit record highs in March

The National Statistical Bureau reported the country's refiners processed 12.13MM b/d in March, up from the 11.19MM b/d refined a year earlier and from the previous record-high of 12.03MM b/d set in Nov. 2017. The uptick in crude throughput in March led to a 4% year-on-year rise in output of fuel oil, gasoil, gasoline, jet/kerosene, LPG, and naphtha. Full 1Q throughput averaged 12.06MM b/d, nearly 842K b/d higher than the year-earlier quarter.
