China June-July diesel exports plunge, gasoline shipments recovered from June.

During the month, China exported 550K mt (133K b/d) of diesel, which was 65.2% lower on the year and marked the fourth consecutive month-on-month drop with a 47% decline from June. In addition, the diesel export volume for July was the lowest monthly volume in five years. Market analysts believe that diesel exports took a hit during the month because of weak overseas demand. Diesel margins have generally been stronger compared to gasoline for most of the year but have recently fallen to 86 yuan/mt ($1.66/bbl), compared to 900 yuan/mt ($17.34/bbl) in May.
