IEEJ: Japan’s City Gas and LPG Sales in FY2018 Will Dip Below Last Year

The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ) estimates on the economy & energy outlook for the fiscal year2019 released recently that Japan’s city gas and LPG sales in FY2018 will dip below last year’s level. As the year’swinter is forecast to be warmer than the severe cold winter in FY2017 that pushed up the year’s city gas and LPG sales,the city gas and LPG sales in FY2018 are expected to be 42.37 billion cubic meters (down 0.3% year on year) and 14.7million mt (down 1%) respectively, according to IEEJ.
