Idemitsu Kosan Co., Ltd. has recently made clear its forecast that its coal production volume in the calendar year2018 will amount to 12.52 million tons (based on its interest holding portion, and the same applies hereinafter). As the coalproduction volume in the calendar year 2017 was 13.438 million tons, this represents a decrease of 918,000 tons (6.8%)versus the prior year.
