FERC Shows Intention to Approve Plaquemines LNG Project

On 13th local time, the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) showed its intention to approve Venture Global-led LNG production project “Plaquemines LNG.” It commented in the draft EIS that the project might have impacts on near areas, but concluded that this impacts would be reduced to less-than-significant levels through measures taken by Venture Global. FERC intends to invite opinions on the draft by January 7th, 2019, complete the final EIS by August 30th, and make a final decision on the project by November 28th, 2019.
