Petronas’ Second FLNG Sets Sail for Rotan Gas Field

A floating LNG facility “PFLNG Dua” constructed for Malaysia’s Petronas is heading out to the destination the Rotan gas field in Sabah, Malaysia. The facility built in Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in S. Korea is Peronas’ second FLNG. The preparation work for commercial operation will be completed by mid-2020. The approximately 1,840-nautical mile voyage from South Korea to Malaysia will take about two weeks and after that the FLNG will be moored at the gas field and enter the commissioning phase.
