Hoegh LNG Applies for LNG Import License in Cyprus

Norwegian shipping company Hoegh LNG on April 1st announced that it has applied for an LNG import license in Cyprus. In light of air pollution measures, the company plans to utilize a Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) to accelerate fuel shift from oil products to environmentally-friendly LNG. It expects to start importing LNG in the first half of 2021 after receiving the approval.
