Winfield Abandons Attempt to Take over Stanmore Coal

It became obvious on October 17 that Winfield Group Investments Pty Ltd., Australia abandoned its attempt to take over Stanmore Coal Limited, a coal mining company in the same country. As previously reported, Winfield Group Investments submitted a non-binding takeover proposal to Stanmore Coal on 7 August 2019. The takeover proposal submitted by Winfield Group Investments shows the appraised value of shares in Stanmore Coal is in the range of A$1.50 to A$1.70 per share. The appraised value based on a 100% stake is in the range of A$384.2 million to A$435.4 million.
