Indian chemicals and petrochemicals sector to grow into $304 billion market by 2025

MR.D.V.SADANANDA GOWDA,Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers,Government of India,said that the Indian chemicals and petrochemicals sector has a significant potential to help India reach its goal of a $5 trillion economy by 2025.He indicated that the sector is expected to grow at a CAGR of 9.3 %,from a $163 billion to $304 billion market by 2025.Speaking at the’Summit on Global Chemicals and Petrochemicals Manufacturing Hubs in India 2019',organized by FICCI recetnly,in association with the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers,Government of India,Mr Gowda said,”The Indian chemical and petrochemical industry is currently witnessing a rapid expansion.The untapped potential of this industry,which holds the power to bring a revolution in the country,needs to be addressed.”
