Asian plV met coal prices hold steady; pCI prices decline

The Asian seaborne metallurgical coal market was steady Wednesday, with no fresh deals observed for the premium hard coking coal segment. S&P Global Platts assessed Premium Low-Vol HCC steady at $188.50/mt FOB Australia Wednesday, and the delivered price to China was also unchanged at $193.50/mt. In China, the most competitive offer was indicated at $198/mt CFR China for an Australian Premium Low Vol Saraji, 85,000 mt with July 6-20 laycan. The highest bid was indicated at $190/mt CFR China for the same type of coal.
