Iraq holds talks with Total, Lukoil on Nassiriya refinery project

Vienna-Iraq resumed negotiations with international oil companies on the proposed 150,000 b/d Nassiriya refinery this week, with oil minister Thamir Ghadhban holding talks with the heads of Total and Lukoil in Vienna. Iraq had put the project discussions on hold after national elections in May resulted in a new government, including the appointment of Ghadhban to replace Jabbar al-Luaibi.
