Pipeline and terminal operator Kinder Morgan Energy Partners is expanding its Texas C02 project,spending us6-mil to acquire a 64% interest in the Permian Basin's Claytonville oilfield with plans to spend another us30-mil to boost production there from 200 b/d to 4,000 b/d.That unit is located 30 miles east of KMP's SACROC field,part of the Houston-based partnership's Texas CO2 project,which posted a 58% increase in earnings for the first quarter with us123-mil thanks to increased oil production.
