NYMEX palladium up over $100 on bargain hunting

Washington—NYMEX palladium futures jumped more than $100 on Thursday, as the metal was boosted by bargain-hunters following this week’s sharp selloff, while the other precious metals closed with minor gains. Palladium for June delivery, the active month, rose $108.80 to close at $2,001/oz, after a slump of more than $220 this week. July platinum increased $22.70 to $788. COMEX gold for June delivery added $7.10 to $1,745.40/oz, while May silver edged 2 cents higher to $15.36/oz.
