摘要

Rod Dann has been completing the first stage of his work on characterisingphysical and hydraulic properties of the Canterbury alluvial gravel vadose zone,and dual permeability modeling of solute fluxes through the zone (seepublications). Work is ongoing, using large intact alluvial gravel cores forunsaturated flow and transport experiments. In addition, Rod has been completinghis X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) study of the Pauanui sands at theCoromandel, revealing heterogeneities at multiple scales which may affect virustransport in these systems. Rod has also just started work on developing enhancedin-situ bio-denitrification methods as part of a capability fund (CF) project.
