CIS merchant pig iron prices reportedby market sources on Friday were showingsome further downward movement in spite ofa few early attempts by some producers to lifttheir offers.S&P Global Platts' weekly pig iron priceassessment read $360-$365/mt FOB BlackSea, with a mid-point at $362.50/mt FOB, onFriday, down $9/mt on week. A CIS producerreported offers to Italy and Turkey at $385-$390/mt CIF, which equated to $363-$368/mtFOB Black Sea given the rising cost of freight inthe recent period.
