China's nickel deficit to widen in 2020

Hong Kong—China’s refined nickel deficit is forecast to widen to 620,000 mt in 2020, from a shortage of 502,000 mt in 2019, data from the state-run metals consultancy, Beijing Antaike, showed Tuesday. China's nickel supply in 2020 was forecast at 745,000 mt, down 7.45% from 805,000 mt in 2019. Domestic 2020 nickel demand was seen at 1.365 million mt, up 4.4% from 1.307 million mt last year.
