US OCTG market slightly higher; still lags HRC market significantly

Pittsburgh—The US oil and country tubular goods market was slightly higher, but price movement in OCTG products were still significantly lagging behind HRC prices which was pressuring OCTG margins further. The monthly Platts domestic OCTG assessment rose by $20 Nov. 2 to a midpoint of $835/st for November, while the Platts import OCTG assessment rose by the same amount to $800/st. Prices are for J55 carbon ERW pipe.
