Singapore—CFR containerized scrap prices to Taiwan saw its seventh bull week, marking a 7.5 month high, amid a pick up in buying activities as sentiments firmed, sources said. The S&P Global Platts daily TSI HMS I/II 80:20 containerized scrap spot price was assessed at $270/mt CFR Taiwan Aug. 28, up $2/mt on the week. Trading activities picked up from mid-week, with several USWC HMS I/II 80:20 cargoes to Taiwan concluded, thus breaking out from its prior lull weeks.
